An honest and open statement about Quuu

A New Year, A New Quuu

Quuu in 2018

2018 was a really hard year for Quuu as a Company. This time last year, we decided to build our own social media scheduling tool inside Quuu which at the time made logical sense. We had a great plan, some great features and a roadmap of integrations to boot.

But…

2 weeks before we launched, Twitter announced some major changes to its API automation policy so we removed some features and adjusted how Quuu works so we could continue moving forward with our new tool.

The changes took away what was unique about the Quuu scheduler. We unwittingly entered into a more competitive market, which not only diluted the focus of what Quuu was offering, but also made it much harder to gain new customers over the coming months.

Despite all our best efforts, we had problem after problem with the scheduler, API changes to Twitter and Facebook, restrictions and more, we knew we needed to make a change.

Plan for 2019

Based on everything that went wrong in 2018, we now have a solid plan for 2019, and that means removing the Quuu scheduler. We just can’t compete with awesome tools like Buffer, Hootsuite and HubSpot and why would we when we can work with these companies via integrations.

Quuu is going back to its roots and only concentrating on content. It is what we do best and is what has always set us apart from other companies. Quuu is still the only company to truly hand-curate all content we suggest and is committed to providing you with the very best from around the web.

Introducing the new Quuu

The new Quuu is much like the old Quuu (before we had a scheduling tool) but with even more ways to find content from across the web via RSS feeds, more ways to manage your own content and of-course our hand-curated content suggestions.

And don’t worry, you’ll still be able send automated content suggestions to both Buffer and HubSpot and we are working on some new integrations as we speak.

Quuu will be your content dashboard, a place to discover, read and share reliable and engaging content.

One last thing…The free plan is coming back!! :-)

We truly believe you are going to love the new Quuu and we can’t wait to share it with you. We really appreciate your support.

Thank you for reading and I’d love to hear from you.

Daniel — CEO @Quuu
